Biography
Christopher Balzano, the director of Crossroads Writing and
Media Group, has worked as a librarian, teacher and freelance
writer.  His writing has appeared in print and online sources
for the past five years, and he has contributed t
o half a dozen
nonfiction books.  He currently has four nonfiction
titles on the
shelves and is widely considered one of the leading authorities
on folklore and urban legends.  

He is a regular guest on radio shows
, Internet talk shows, and
television programs and speaks at events and conferences
throughout the country.  He is currently the news director of
an Internet site that receives a quarter of a million hits a day.

He currently resides in Southwest Florida.
Teaching Experience
Christopher has been teaching since 1996 and has
experience at all levels of education.
Emerson College
Christopher taught creative writing as a teaching assistant for
three years.  He oversaw an Introduction to Creative Writing
Class and acted as a content editor and workshop leader for
their Senior Writing Project class.
 
The Huntington Learning Center
Christopher acted as the Assistant Director at the Huntington
Learning Center in Orlando, Florida.  He was responsible for all
forms of test preparation, including GED, SAT, Florida Writes, and
FCAS.  He helped to test students to determine their need and
then created a personalized program designed to determine the
best approach to improvement.  He continued this work part time
at another center in Burlington, Massachusetts.
The Pilgrim Center for Boys
Christopher was the head teacher at a residential treatment
center for juvenile criminal offenders in Braintree, Massachusetts,
for nearly three years.  While there he taught Math, History, Life
Skills, and English.  He was also responsible for the day to day
running of the school and helped design the curriculum and
facilitated the special education program.  
Notre Dame High School
Christopher was hired at Notre Dame in Lawrence, Massachusetts,
in their third year because of his skill and experience as a
nonfiction writer.  He was charged with the task of creating a
writing program that would allow freshman to build a solid
foundation of writing and research skills while teaching them
note-talking and study skills.  During his two years there
he
solidified their writing curriculum, establishing a template being
duplicated by the Cristo Rey Network.
Writing Experience
